Origins And Purpose Of The Club

‘Keepthebeat Cycling’ was founded in 2012 by a group of keen cyclists with very close personal links to the KEEPTHEBEAT charity.

The aim of the club has always been to raise awareness of the charity through the promotion of cycling events and by giving it's members the opportunity to participate in events whether recreational or competitive.

We aim to ensure that members feel actively engaged in the clubs activities. In keeping with this ethos, we expect new members to join us in occasional rides and social events.

KEEPTHEBEAT was established with an aim to provide hope and support to the families affected by congenital heart defects. The charity is based in Leicestershire and supports The East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre at Glenfield, Leicestershire. The charity aims to reach out to the boundaries of the geographical area serviced by this Centre, taking in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, parts of Warwickshire and South Yorkshire.
